Dear friends,

 

Glad to inform you, that from April, 15 till April, 17th, 2011 in Russia, in St.Petersburg, in a Sports-Concert Complex “Peterburgsky”, The Fifth Martial Arts Olympics “East-West Open” will have place.

  Under the request of our colleagues its program has seriously extended. We think that it will be interesting to everybody to have a glance or even to take part in Hand-to-Hand Cossacks fighting or Cyber skirmish. We glad to return karate WKF in our program. Hope that together with karate point-fighting, WKC & WKU it will give a great chance for everybody who wants to try his skills in that style fighting.

In chapter “Rules info” in the near future it will be already possible to familiarize with rules of competitions by these kinds, and in chapter “List of competitions” to find the contact information on the main judges and coordinators of these & other kinds.

The program of forthcoming Olympics while is known only preliminary and, nevertheless, already now it is possible to speak that we expect more than seven thousand sportsmen from more than fifty countries. Budo-show, “ a firm card” of our Olympics, will pass, how it is usual in the first day of competitions, on April, 15th. To make an application on participation in it we ask to contact the main director of Budo-show Marina Sen. In more detail how it can be made and what from you is required, you can find in chapter “Budo-show” in the nearest future.

In the organization of upcoming Olympics The Fund of development of Russia is going to accept an active participation, for what we in advance state it the gratitude. Besides it is necessary to thank still time of our constant partners “Northwest bank of the Savings Bank of Russia” (the head – Mr. Govorunov Alexander), bank “VTB North-West” (the head – Mr. Olunin Dmitry), insurance company “Baltic insurance society” (the head – Mr. Antonenko A.) and the “Laser center” (the head – Mr. Gorny Sergey). Sure, that we’ll have chance to thank them and after following Olympics.

Together with Ministry of sport, tourism & youth policy of Russian Federation (the head – Mr. Mutko Vitaly) & Russian Union of Martial Arts (the head – Mr. Dzuravlev Pavel) we hope to have a good representation of Russian sportsmen from all & any part of country on this unique event.  

We also count on traditional serious support from Committee of sports and physical culture of Administration of St.-Petersburg (the head – Mr. Chazov Viacheslav).

The efforts of Board of Trustees (the head – Mr. Motsak Mikhail) allow us to hope that we’ll have really good support in preparation of upcoming event. 

For those, who wants to become participant for the first time or for “veterans”, we advice to sent an application on & follow instructions in “info for guest” chapter as soon as possible.
